HISTORY OF THE BOOSTER CLUB
The
Northwest Band Booster Club was organized in 1978 to raise funds
and provide structure to a growing band program. Faced with
diminishing financial support from school funds, the booster
organization exists so that our band program can exist.
Band Booster Club meetings are
held on the first Monday of each month (unless there is a holiday)
at 7:30 p.m. in the high school band room. Your “fairshare” must
be paid in order for you to vote during the Band Booster Club
meetings. The fairshare payments are used to help financially
support our band program.
We raise funds through various
activities throughout the year: Our Marching Band Competition in
October, fruit sales, car washes, dinners, merchandise sales,
etc. These funds are used to purchase instruments and music and
to supply transportation, supplemental instruction, and uniforms.
Booster volunteers provide their time and talents to care for the
uniforms, flags, chaperone, transport equipment, administer our
fundraisers, drive buses, and various other activities.
