Student Support Committee Competition Support
|
|
|
Experienced chaperone will work with head chaperone,
coordinate head-count checks for one of the buses and
guide new chaperones on board that day.
|
|
(1 adult per 10 students required - so every
student's family should chaperone a min. 1 event/yr)
|
Chaperones are needed at competitions and concert band
festivals to assist/supervise students as they
board/ride/depart activity or charter buses as well as
at the event and establishments during the course of the
trip. Will be asked to accompany and supervise students
on the bus and at the event.. May be asked to distribute
water and help with equipment, props, costumes, etc. |

|
Medically trained personnel are needed to accompany our
students at events to assess injuries and medical
emergencies and dispense OTC and prescription
medicines.
|
|
|
Keeps
medical kits stocked, ready for competitions and
football games. Makes sure a completed medical form is
obtained for every participating student and that a copy
set is made for notebooks that accompany the medical
kits. |
|
|
Coordinate and supervise activities of Football Support
team and volunteers
|
|
|
Place
and move seat covers on bleachers for Band & Guard at
home games and provide for water/ice supplies. Escort
band to/from field, carry stands music, and serve water.
|
|
(need 5 certified volunteers) |
Must
have current NC Class C drivers license, be available
most Saturdays, from mid Sept - Nov, and 1-2 Saturdays
and weekdays in Dec and spring. Boosters will help
volunteers pay for licensing upon completion of their
certification.

Uniforms Committee
|
|
|
Manage
inventory, ordering, repair, distribution and collection
of uniforms shoes and accessories for
-
marching band
-
wind
ensemble, jazz band
|
|
|
Assist
uniform managers with distribution and collection of
marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band uniforms and
accessories.
|
|
|
Assist
uniform managers with shoe and glove orders, accept
order forms and payments (3 hrs in Aug) and assist with
distribution the day students must pick up their orders. |
|
|
Sewers
may be needed for hand sewing hems, replacing
snaps or buttons, and machine sewing for costumes
and flags. |
|
Equipment/Props Committee
|
|
|
Basic
carpentry, building/painting skills needed for
construction of props. Equipment chairperson serves as
prop construction coordinator.
|
|
|
Coordinates Props team and directs load/unload from
truck/trailer and placement of props on and off field at
home games and competitions
|
|
|
Strong
muscles and backs needed to load/unload props from
truck/trailer and help get props on and off-field at
competitions and home football games.
|
|
|
Coordinates Pit Crew and directs load/unload of Pit
equipment from band trailer and placement of on and off
the field in a timely manner.
|
|
|
Strong
muscles and backs needed to load/unload instruments from
band trailer and coordinate placement of on and off the
field at home games and competitions.
|
|

Must have a vehicle that can pull Band's 4000 lb.
instruments, props/equipment trailer to competitions and
concert band festivals.

|
A driver is needed to help transport
props/equipment to competitions or other events. |
|
Color and Winter Guard Liaison Committee |
|
|
Coordinates Winter guard props, uniforms and chaperones |

Coordinates Winter Drumline props, uniforms and chaperones |

|
Co-ordinate costumes, flags, rifles, other props with
Director and arrange ordering/distribution at the start
of the season, and collection at end of season. |
