Marching Viking Band Financial Assistance

The Northwest Guilford Viking Band believes every student should have the opportunity to participate in band, regardless of financial circumstances. We understand that band-related expenses can be a challenge for some families, and we are committed to helping students remain involved in this valuable experience whenever possible.

 

Limited financial assistance may be available to help offset eligible band expenses, including participation fees, required items, and select travel or ensemble costs. Assistance is awarded based on demonstrated financial need, available funding, and the needs of the program.

 

Please note that financial assistance is limited and is not guaranteed from season to season. The amount of aid available may vary each year depending on donations, fundraising success, and program resources. Submitting an application does not guarantee that assistance will be awarded or that the full requested amount will be covered.

 

Families receiving financial assistance may be asked to participate in volunteer opportunities or additional fundraising efforts as part of the assistance agreement. Specific expectations, if applicable, will be discussed after applications are reviewed.

 

All applications and financial information are kept confidential and reviewed carefully by designated program leadership.

 

Applications for the Fall Marching Band season must be submitted prior to the first day of band camp. Applications for Winter Ensembles or Jazz Band must be submitted prior to the first scheduled rehearsal or practice.
