About our Ensembles

The Viking Band program is proud to offer a wide variety of ensembles that give students the opportunity to grow as musicians, performers, and leaders. Each group is designed to challenge and inspire, offering unique experiences both on and off the stage.​Our Ensembles Include:

Concert Band – A foundational ensemble that focuses on essential skills, tone development, and core concert literature.

Symphonic Band – An intermediate-level group that builds on musicianship and ensemble technique through diverse and engaging repertoire.

Wind Ensemble – Our most advanced concert ensemble, performing challenging works with an emphasis on musical excellence and precision.

Jazz Ensemble – Explores jazz standards, swing, funk, and blues, giving students opportunities to improvise and perform in a small group setting.

Marching Viking Band – Our award-winning, spirited and high-energy ensemble that performs at football games, community events, and marching competitions throughout the season.

Winter Guard – A visual ensemble that combines dance, movement, and equipment work to enhance the marching band and present dynamic indoor performances during the winter season.

Winter Percussion Ensemble – A competitive indoor ensemble that focuses on rhythm, coordination, and showmanship through unique percussion-based performances.
