To Foster the Growth of Empathy and Self-Belief through the Creation of Living Art

Jerry Goodnight is a National Award Winning, National Board Certified Social Studies Teacher beginning his 13th year in education. Dr. Goodnight has been involved in the marching arts since 2006, and has served as an educator and designer since 2011. As a performer, he marched with the WCU Pride of the Mountains Marching Band as a member and trumpet section leader from 2010-2013, and with the 2012 Carolina Crown. As an instructor, he has previously served on the instructional staff for Music City Drum Corps and multiple high school ensembles, and currently serves on the educational faculty for Carolina Crown. When not teaching, he spends time with his wife, their son, and their three puppies (usually cheering on the Carolina Panthers!), and is excited to begin his second year with Northwest Guilford!
