
Tyson Sessoms
Visual/High Brass Tech
Tyson Sessoms is a native of Alamance county North Carolina where he began playing trumpet and attended Eastern Alamance high school. He is now a third year music education major at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where he studies trumpet under Dr. Garrett Klein. In his time at UNCG, Tyson has competed in the National Trumpet Competition as well as performed with the nationally recognized UNCG Wind ensemble on their 2025 tour across the southeastern United states to perform at the College Band Director National Association(CBDNA) conference. As well as working with the Northwest Guilford marching vikings, Tyson also serves as brass instructor for C.E. Jordan high school in Durham, North Carolina. Post graduation, Tyson plans on pursuing a career as a high school band director.
