To Foster the Growth of Empathy and Self-Belief through the Creation of Living Art

Jonathan Taborn began his journey in the performing arts at South Granville High School in Creedmoor, North Carolina, where he performed as a member of both the concert band and color guard. After graduating, he returned for two years as a member of the instructional staff while attending community college. Now studying Visual Arts and Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he remains involved in the marching arts. In 2025, he was apart of First Flight Independent Winterguard and returned for the 2026 season, where the ensemble earned the 2026 Independent Open Class Championship. He also works with the instructional staff for the Northwest Guilford High School Marching Band, where he is entering his third year of teaching.
