Daniel Hayden (Visual / WoodwindTech)
Jessie Peterson (Visual / Woodwind Tech) is currently the band director at Corriher-Lipe middle school in Landis, NC. Mrs. Peterson graduated with her Bachelors degree in Music Education from The Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University in December of 2017. Mrs. Peterson's primary instrument is flute, which she has studied under the instruction of Dr. Nancy Schneeloch-Bingham. While at Appalachian, she has participated in various ensembles including the Marching Mountaineers, Appalachian Flute Choir, Appalachian Symphony Band, Appalachian Concert Band, and the Appalachian Basketball Band all under the direction of Dr. John Stanley Ross and Dr. Kevin G. Richardson.
Mrs. Peterson served two years as Drum Major of the Marching Mountaineers, and led the band during Appalachian’s first two national bowl game wins at the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, AL. She also marched in the 2015 London New Year’s Day parade with the Marching Mountaineers. Mrs. Peterson served as the Student Director of the Appalachian Basketball Band and led the band to the Sunbelt Conference Tournament in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Peterson holds memberships in the North Carolina Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Educators, the National Band Association, the National Flute Association, and is an alumnae of Sigma Alpha Iota.
Jared Gilbert (Visual / Low BrassTech) is currently a DMA student at UNCG studying trombone performance. He is from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and moved down to North Carolina to pursue his masters degree, which he completed last year. His plan is to perform and teach at the collegiate level upon completion of his degree. He enjoys hiking, camping, playing video games and sports.
